Recognizing the need for an effective Biblical approach to counseling, a group of experienced Christian counselors opened Compassion Christian Counseling (CCC) in October of 1998.   The CCC clinic has built its ministry on the concept of ministering to the whole person—spirit, soul, and body.  The guiding principle of the ministry is found in Luke 4:18-19, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those that are downtrodden, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.”   

The concept of ministering to the whole person is unique to this ministry and one that sets it apart from other counseling modalities.  Spiritual issues are often neglected.  CCC  focuses on the root of the problem, which often lies in the person's belief system, their choices, and their faith.  Addressing these issues is necessary for lasting recovery and is the key to the successful application of the Faith-Based Therapy^™  Model.
